We covet your prayers as we are coming upon the miraculous adoption of our daughter, Mae. These are the 5 things that we ask specifically and have been praying ourselves during this journey. When you think of us, please pray:
1) Protection over our travels; safekeeping. Protection over illness and safety from any harm. Psalm121: 7: The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life. Psalm121: 7
2) Peace in all of our hearts and Rest. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
3) Bonding. I pray that the love of the Father would flow between Cody, me and Mae... that she would feel the supernatural bond that comes from God's love and this love would heal her heart of losses and create in us an unexplainable bond as a new family.
4) I pray that we might be a light in China. Also, that Mae's story of the miraculous way her Heavenly Father placed her with us would have a mighty impact. 2 Corinthians 5:20 : We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
5)Lastly, but most importantly... I pray that Mae will receive the love her Heavenly Father and believe in His Son that died for her. I pray that she will have a special bond with her Lord that pursues her and has adopted her as his very own child. Galatians 4: 4-6 : But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons and daughters, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”
Thank you for praying alongside us!
