Mae's birthday cake fell apart completely but it tasted great -- I guess first birthday cakes are meant to be wrecked anyway (: I have time to practice making a cake for her second birthday.
Well, the area ended up being even larger than we hoped... it will make a nice size little play room for Mae. It is about 6' x 6' and will be just perfect to put her a little kitchen and table for tea parties. Now we need drywall...
We are starting Mae's room project... first thing we have to do is take out the wall and extend her little room. We don't quite know how this will turn out but we do know there is a large area and window beyond her walls. Cutting holes to get in there and find out.
These quilt squares were made by my great grandmother, Mama Ma. It is beautiful and my mom has started to put these together so that this might be Mae's baby blanket. I am so very giddy about what this will look like and it is so very special.
Our agency put Mae's picture up today with this amazing phrase, "My family has found me" under her sweet photograph.
Seeing this is beyond me... God is leading this adoption. This little girl is ours and we are blessed beyond measure. We thought it would take us years to get here... we are stunned it has only been a few months.
